The Fool’s Journey
Curious Matter/ Proteus Gowanus

Submissions are now being accepted for “The Fool’s Journey,” a collaboration between Curious Matter in Jersey City, NJ and Proteus Gowanus in Brooklyn, NY. The exhibition will be presented in two parts concurrently at Curious Matter and Proteus Gowanus. The curators will select the location for the artwork. The exhibition is a complement to the yearlong, multi-disciplinary inquiry hosted by Proteus Gowanus on the theme of Migration and will be exhibited in parallel to its Future Migration show, exploring where we may end up as we embark into the future. A catalogue will accompany The Fool’s Journey.

Pilchuck Glass School is accepting applications for its emerging artist in residence program. The residency requires a project proposal and supports kilnworking, coldworking, printmaking, and use of mixed media but not hot glassworking. The EAiR program is an independent artist’s residency, so no instruction is available and some glassmaking experience is required. Included in the residency award is a stipend of US$1,000 per artist, open studio space, shared cooking facilities, and a private room in a cottage with shared bath.
