Artists working in various mediums, with focus on large scale sculpture, installation and performance are invited to submit proposals for “Roadside Attractions,” a monumental project that will be part of an expansive outdoor festival environment. Steeped in American history, Tourist Traps and Roadside Attractions were popularized in the 1940s-60s, designed to attract travelers to stop while en route to other destinations. Artists are asked to THINK BIG and submit ideas that are inspired by or are characteristic of roadside attractions and to consider large scale sculpture, installations, performative/interactive and signage for this project.

A selected Fellow receives support for a two-week creative residency in the Helen Frankenthaler Printmaking Cottage, an honorarium, travel allowance, a small materials stipend, and accommodation. A CCP staff printer provides a two-hour technical consultation at the beginning of the residency.

Visual Resources Association Foundation

Visual Resources Association Foundation (VRAF) is seeking applications for its Project Grant, which provides support for visual resources and image management projects that are consonant with the VRA Foundation mission. Up to $1,500 will be awarded per grant to be used for stand-alone projects, pilots or start-up financing for larger projects, or for a significant component of a larger project.
