chashama is looking for ambient interactive performances to be a part of chashama GALA on June 18th – Let There Be Light! The theme is illumination and light. The Harvestworks New Works is a national program offers American artists commissions of up to $5000 to make a new work in their Technology, Engineering, Art and Music (TEAM) lab. Each artist receives up to a $2000 artist fee with the balance of the award used for the TEAM lab activities. The artist works with a team comprised of Harvestworks’ Project Manager and consultants, technicians or instructors.

Van Lier Visiting Artist Fellowships

UrbanGlass offers two Van Lier Visiting Artist Fellowships to artists who reside in New York and wish to work in glass.  Two fellowships are offered to Emerging Artists in 2012.  Recipients should be college graduates age 30 or younger, with demonstrated financial need.  Fellows should not be currently enrolled in college or university classes. Fellowships are for an eight-week period and include access to all areas of the Studio on a scheduled basis, technical support and materials as stipulated in the Fellowship Agreement

Fall 2012 Residency: Fine Art for Children
La Napoule Art Foundation

LNAF will bring 8 artists together to explore this question in a month-long residency at the Chateau de La Napoule. While intended to engage a younger audience, works will be created with the same expertise and emotional power of fine art exhibited for adults. The artists’ goal will be to transcend all ages. Residents’ work will be included in exhibitions in France and in the United States. The residency will be held from October 9 – November 6, 2012. Selected residents receive most meals as well as housing and studio space at the magnificent Chateau de La Napoule and adjacent Villa Marguerite just outside Cannes, France.
